At Lake Worth Fingerprinting, we provide fast, accurate, and state-approved Livescan fingerprinting services for individuals and professionals throughout Florida. Livescan is a digital fingerprinting method that allows your prints to be submitted electronically to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for background checks. This process is required for a variety of professions, licensing boards, and governmental agencies to ensure public safety and regulatory compliance.
Whether you’re applying for healthcare licensing, education certification, professional permits, or background screenings, our certified technicians make the Livescan process quick and easy, with results submitted securely to the appropriate Florida agencies.
What Are ORI Numbers?
When submitting fingerprints for Livescan, you’ll often need an ORI number (Originating Agency Identifier). An ORI number is a unique code assigned to a licensing board, agency, or organization that specifies where your fingerprint submission should be sent. Using the correct ORI ensures your background check is processed efficiently and accurately. Always confirm the ORI with your employer or licensing board before your appointment.

FAQs
Q. How long will it take for the Livescan results to be received by the agency?
A. After your fingerprints are submitted by us, the electronic transmission to the FDLE and then the requesting agency typically takes 3-5 business days, depending on the agency.
Q. What happens if I don’t know the ORI number?
A. If you don’t know your ORI number, contact the employer, licensing board or agency that requested the fingerprinting. They must provide it. Without it, your Livescan submission cannot be properly routed.
Q. Are ink fingerprint cards acceptable instead of Livescan?
A. Some agencies may still accept ink-card (hard card) fingerprinting, but many Florida regulatory boards and licensing agencies require electronic Livescan submission using an ORI number. Electronic is faster, cleaner, and preferred.
Q. How long is my fingerprint result valid?
A. It depends on the agency, but generally electronic prints may be valid for up to 6 months according to FDLE, and sometimes 12 months for licensing boards. Always check with your requesting agency.
